Schools - trouble with videos: blocked firewall

Last Updated: Nov 12, 2014 06:16PM EST
We're sorry you're having trouble accessing Speakaboos stories from your school.   We have found that sometimes the source of this difficulty is the firewall settings many schools have set up that prohibit video streaming from our server.

To resolve this issue, you will need to contact your school’s network administrator to set up permission allowing our server to connect with the school’s port.

Here’s the information your school’s IT administrator will need:
  • Our Flash Media Server is located here: rtmp://media.speakaboos.com
  • To allow the Speakaboos video traffic to stream into computers in your school, please  allow RTMP traffic on either port 80 or 1935.
  • Speakaboos Server: cp133903.edgefcs.net Protocol: RTMPPorts: 1935, 443, 80

Click here for some more information about Flash Media Server that you or your IT administrator might find helpful.

If you still have trouble playing the videos after following the above steps, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
